Board Responsibilities

President – Evan Soderquist

  • Manage agenda for Parent’s Club meetings in the school year
  • Attend monthly meetings with principal for PC meeting agenda as needed
  • Attend monthly School Commission meetings
  • Confirm PC sponsored events (passive and fundraiser) to ensure leadership and provide support as needed. List is sent to office administrator for directory.

    • PATS
    • Passive Fundraisers: Used Uniforms, etc. (See directory for past leaders)
  • Works with PC exec board to fill openings as needed

Vice President – Michele Bleser

  • Manage agenda for Parent’s Club meetings
  • Attend monthly meetings with principal for PC meeting agenda (as needed)
  • Meeting logistics
    • Liaison to hospitality team (food for PC meetings) for year
    • Coordinates room reservation with Parish
    • Coordinates childcare for PC meetings
    • Coordinates meeting raffle prizes
  • Works with PC exec board to fill openings as needed

Secretary – Jordana Foppiano

  • Meeting communication
    • eFC reminder to office administrator on the Wednesday before the meeting week and a Wednesday email blast the week of the meeting.
    • Ensures accuracy of PC page on website
    • Minutes for meetings
  • Works with PC exec board to fill openings as needed

Treasurer – Kjersti Phillips

  • Financial report at PC meetings as needed
  • Financial advisor/monitor for room parents and PC sponsored events
  • Manage PC budget and liaison to parish finance office
  • Works with PC exec board to fill openings as needed

Room Parent Coordinator – Nikki Henning

  • Recruit & Support Room Parents
    Identify and confirm room parents for each classroom. Submit the finalized list to the office administrator for inclusion in the school directory.
  • Provide Resources & Set Expectations
    Share clear guidelines, responsibilities, and best practices with room parents. Maintain and update the Room Parent Handbook annually to reflect current procedures and expectations.
  • Host Room Parent Orientation
    Organize and lead a kickoff event in September for all room parents. Cover essential topics including:

    • Budgeting and reimbursement procedures
    • Classroom party planning
    • Teacher and specialist gift coordination
    • Communication protocols and school policies
  • Facilitate Communication & Requests
    Act as the liaison between room parents, the Parent Executive Board, and school staff. Support room parents with communication needs
  • Collaborate on Volunteer Staffing
    Work with the Parent Executive Board to identify and fill room parent or volunteer openings as needed throughout the school year.
